We conduct an annual fund drive, typically in September or October of each year. All households and businesses in District 3 receive our standard mailing. Although we welcome donations at any time of the year, our annual drive is sufficient to support most of our needs for the year.
Where your money goes...
- Building upkeep, including heat, electricity, maintenance and capital projects such as driveway paving and re-roofing
- Fire equipment. Big budget equipment such as fire apparatus, protective clothing and breathing pparatus are supplied by the Town and paid for through taxes. Smaller equipment like gas meters, chain saws and ladders are purchased by the Company and/or the Town.
- Backup generators, basement pumps, office suplies and the hosting cost for this website
- Antique fire apparatus. We are currently in the process of restoring our 1960's Dodge Power Wagon brush truck. This unit was retired from service in 2001.
- Food for volunteers during all-day training exercises and emergencies
- Donations to other charities in memory of fallen emergency responders.
Example: Money was donated in 2006 to the East Franklin Fire Dept. to help offset memorial costs for Firefighter Kevin Apuzzio ![]()
